Good morning all

We are all in need of some good news so hopefully this mail will bring some cheer. You may remember some time ago that many of us sat our Skills Awards. It is with great pleasure that I can say that these have now all been checked, signed off and the certificates, T shirts and badges have been sent out to you this week and you should receive these in the next couple of days.

To add to the cheer Scottish Curling have stepped in and waved their magic wand with British Curling and arranged for us to have two star curlers to 'present' these awards to us in a Zoom call. World Junior Silver medalist and 2018 Scottish Ladies Champion Jennifer Dodds, along with one of the mens British Curling athletes will join us. They will be available for us to ask questions, give us all a flavour of what it means to be an elite curler and what it takes to get to this level in today's game. Olympic medalist Scott Andrews has agreed to MC the evening

The date and time for the meeting has been set for next Wednesday, 24th February at 6pm. I do not yet have the zoom meeting details but will get them to you as soon as possible. All are welcome, not just those of you who have a Skills Award, in fact the more the merrier. If you have a question please feel free to send it to me and I will forward on so answers can be prepared, or feel free to ask on the evening. Get your thinking caps on and let's give our elite curlers some real out of the box questions!

Our thanks to Iain Stewart from Scottish Curling for arranging this and we hope to see as many of you as possible next week.

Kind Regards

Simon Grant
